FUF Color Palette

Sneak preview!!! This project isn’t on my portfolio website yet, so enjoy this exclusive first look. I recently worked on a project for a non-profit, called Friends of the Urban Forest, based in San Francisco, California. They focus on making the city more environmentally friendly and educating the public on some of the issues our planet is facing. They were looking for a more vibrant color palette to appeal to a younger audience. Since FUF focuses on nature, I drew inspiration from the plants and animals that are native to the California region. For example, the redwood tree and monarch butterfly. I also showed how the new colors could be applied to their logo and content. It was decided that the palette should include a red color similar to the Golden Gate bridge and a purple color to represent the lupine flower so that is where the final palette came from. It has always been important to me to use my visual communications skills to give back and support causes that I care about, and the environment is certainly one of them. The full project will be up soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, click here to view some of my other projects.
